National Ambassadors play a leading role in representing IChC within their countries. This honorary and strategic position offers committed ambassadors the opportunity to coordinate national-level outreach, manage ambassador communities, and strengthen IChC's visibility and participation at a national scale.
Core Responsibilities
National Ambassadors represent IChC on a national level. Their core responsibilities include:
- Coordinating and supporting IChC Ambassadors in their country.
- Serving as the primary national point of contact for IChC participants.
- Ensuring the continued growth of national participation.
- Expanding chemistry outreach nationally.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Submitting quarterly reports detailing national activities and ambassador engagement to the international team.
- Participating in occasional video calls with the international team.
Examples of activities include staying in contact with ambassadors, such as welcoming new members via e-mail or a shared platform, ensuring ambassadors feel supported and connected to a national network, organizing national meetups (virtually or in person) and activities (e.g., for astronomical events), collaborating with national stakeholders for further outreach, and assisting participants with competition-related questions or needs, including guidance on local registration methods.

To fulfill their responsibilities, National Ambassadors will receive:
- An internal dashboard with an overview of all national ambassadors, extended profiles, and communication tools.

- A dedicated IChC e-mail to answer and receive messages.
Application Requirements and Duration
Candidates for the National Ambassador role must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Current IChC Ambassador status, preferably with at least one year of active experience.
- Proven experience in professionalism, leadership and group coordination, ideally across multiple schools or cities.
- Willingness and ability to actively dedicate time to fulfilling the responsibilities outlined above.
- Strong command of both English and the official national language.
National Ambassadors are appointed for a term of one year. Reappointment is possible in the following year.
Deadline and Application Process
Applications for the National Ambassador Program are held once per year. All eligible ambassadors will be notified by e-mail when the process begins. The application deadline for this year is

1st Stage: Submission of the online application form (available when logged into your ambassador account), including an updated CV, a written application letter addressing specific questions, at least one recommendation letter with contact details, and a copy of a valid ID or passport.

2nd Stage: Selected applicants will be invited to a personal video interview with members of the international team.
